‘The Parasocialite’ is a jagged yet slick track that represents the style and delivery of Cabin’s sound. The densely layered and textured sounds of the instrumentation, coupled with his irreverent crooning, creates a dizzingliny dreamy sound that harkens to Nick Cave, Spiritualized, and Funkadelic. Cabin endeavours to create a track that is at once sharp and direct, while at the same time open and all-encompassing.
lyrics
Make-believe and candid attitudes,
In LED of red and green and blue,
Loyalty and People being cruel,
I hope it's something I don't have to do
Pouring over everything in sight,
Silver screens are squaring up my eyes,
Catching up on worshiping your life,
But faith is more than thinking that its right
The picture is still,
Lacking the will,
Start feeling ill from blue light
These kicks and these digs,
Rip through my ribs,
And pull at whatever they can find
You're a stone in my shoe,
Lash in my view,
Turning my screw
You're on my mind,
I find, lately,
You're on my mind,
I find, daily,
You're on my mind,
I find, lately,
You're on my mind,
I find, baby
